Working at the group

The group operates what it builds

Parousia Group builds infrastructure and then runs it, in every market where it is present.

  • The work runs in productionGroup teams operate what they build, under the service objectives in the customer contract. Maintenance and on-call shape the design.
  • One team from design to supportOne team designs, deploys and supports its systems, including change management, incident response and the corrective actions that follow.
  • One engineering standardEvery solution inherits the same platform, identity model and security baseline, maintained by Group Operations with Group Security.
  • The operating constraintsIntermittent grid power, costly transit, mixed device estates and several regulatory regimes at once, all in the design brief.

How we hire

Five steps, applied to every role

Human Resources coordinates the same five stages with the hiring manager, for every role in the group.

  1. ApplicationSubmitted through this site and read by Human Resources against the requirements published for the role.
  2. ConversationA call with the hiring manager about the systems the candidate has built or operated.
  3. Work sampleA problem from a live group system, scoped to one session and discussed with the engineers who set it.
  4. PanelThe hiring team and a reviewer from elsewhere in the group, on technical depth and operating practice.
  5. DecisionThe hiring manager and Human Resources decide together. Every candidate at this stage is told the outcome and why.

Equal opportunity

Hired on evidence

The group hires and promotes on capability. Decisions are not made on age, sex, ethnic origin, nationality, religion, disability, marital status, pregnancy or any other characteristic protected by the law of the jurisdiction the role sits in. Human Resources records the grounds.

Adjustments to the process

Where any part of this process would place a candidate at a disadvantage, a request for an adjustment can be sent to the careers address. The request is handled by Human Resources and is not shared with the hiring panel.

What happens to your application

An application is handled by Human Resources and by the hiring team for the role applied for. It is not sold, and it is not used to train any automated system. Correction or erasure can be requested at any time by writing to the careers address, and requests relating to personal data are handled by the Data Protection Office under the privacy policy.

Speculative applications

Where no published role matches, write to Human Resources at the careers address. Applications are kept for twelve months.
